The boat was originally a CIL 4 and was replaced by a V-8 I hope that will be the engine must be newer models to 80. either a drawing or a place to find a design would be a great help!

First, it is likely that there was no significant difference between the 4-cyl and 8 cyl wiring. the motor is the motor cables to the top [high power or open relay, 1 or 2 of the electromagnet, a return to the coil.] a special cable, temperature sensors and oil water. Ignition coil wire coil and points. 2 or 3 of the alternator and that is all. Chilton sells a very good book about Mercruisers
